DAMAGE & THEFT POLICY
DAMAGE IDENTIFIED:
You are responsible for any damage caused to the room(s), club premises, or property during your stay, whether this results from deliberate, negligent, or reckless actions taken by you or anyone in your party, regardless of whether they are staying at the club.
If damage becomes apparent after your departure, you authorize us to charge Member's Membership Number for any related costs, including but not limited to property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fees, cleaning fees, and guest compensation. We will make every effort to resolve any damage internally before bringing in specialists for repairs, with the goal of minimizing costs incurred by you.
DAMAGE TO ROOM
Please note that if any guest rooms are left in disarray, with waste strewn about or otherwise in a 'trashed' condition, a maintenance deep cleaning fee of Rs 10,000/- will be applied, along with an administration fee and/or charges from third parties. Thank you for your understanding.
DAMAGE TO MATTRESSES AND BEDDING
Please be aware that any damage to mattresses and bedding items—such as towels, mattress pads, sheets, bedspreads, and blankets—caused by body oils, make-up, shoe polish, or similar substances will incur a charge. This fee will be 100% of the full replacement value of the affected item, in addition to any shipping and handling costs necessary for special cleaning, repair, or replacement. Thank you for your understanding.
TAMPERING WITH FIRE DETECTION SYSTEMS AND FIRE-FIGHTING EQUIPMENT
We take the safety of our guests very seriously. Any guest found to have tampered with or interfered with fire detection systems or fire-fighting equipment throughout the club—this includes detector heads in public areas and guest rooms, break glass points, and fire extinguishers—will face serious consequences. Guests who engage in such behavior will be responsible for any costs incurred by the club as a result of their actions and may be asked to leave the premises. In more severe cases, we may involve the authorities at our discretion.
If it comes to our attention that fire detection or fire-fighting equipment was tampered with after a guest has checked out, we reserve the right to charge the Member's Membership Number or send an invoice to the Member's address for any related expenses. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
FIRE WORKS
The use of fireworks, firecrackers, open flames, Sigri, gas blowers, sky lanterns, and ‘fanush’ (paper hot air balloons) is strictly forbidden in all Club venues. In accordance with club policy, a penalty of Rs. 50000/- will be imposed for any violations of this rule.
INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR POLICY
At Ranchi Gymkhana Club we believe that every guest deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. We are committed to ensuring a welcoming environment for everyone, and we take our responsibility to uphold this standard very seriously.
If any behavior is reported to the General Manager or if it is observed that a guest is acting inappropriately, we will conduct an investigation into the matter. Based on the findings, the Club reserves the right to take necessary action, which may include involving the authorities or requesting that the guest leave the premises, depending on the severity of the actions.
Your comfort and safety are our top priorities, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
LOST OR DAMAGED PROPERTY
If a guest happens to misplace any personal items during their stay or experiences damage to their belongings, the provisions outlined in the Club will be in effect. Please note that any lost property not claimed within three months of a guest's departure will be disposed of by the Club.
In case of any damage to the property of RGC, the member would bear the cost as fixed by the RGC Management and will be settled by the member before the event concludes.
The existing rules regarding the use of club property will remain intact. However, the Managing Committee of Ranchi Gymkhana Club retains the right to implement any necessary changes as needed.
